Peep Show petition

If you liked Peep Show and are saddened at the thought of it being axed because it didn't get as many viewers as poxy shite like the Friday Night Project, please go and sign the online petition, just to annoy the people at Channel 4 who want to let it go (and delight the people at Channel 4 who are trying to keep it).

And if you're foreign and have never seen it, go and sign anyway. Just trust me, it's very good.

Ta.

I am foreign but I trust your judgement so will sign. They are Bloody Bastards (if the show is as good as you say) but don't say it too loud or they might get rid of green wing just to spite us, then I would fly from New Zealand just to be at the protest.

Talking of which, have you listened to the Ricky Gervais podcasts? For the last few weeks they've been pointing out that the new series of Green Wing is on its way...

Foreigners obey you, James.

I've noticed. Particularly in Scandinavia and New Zealand, both places I'd like to visit.

*begins to hatch a number of interesting plots*

I only got to see it maybe twice (you know, they keep saying how Green Wing wasn't a hit in the US, but that's because, instead of playing it a million times, like they do Changing Rooms, they stuck it on once a week, where hardly anyone had the chance to flip past and see it) but it was good.

Is it sad that my parenthesis thing was longer than the actual sentence?

You'll be delighted to hear GW is to be repeated on BBC America soon.

At 5 in the morning.

Good plan James! It's like you read my mind. We have to get Peep Show back. It's so upsetting C4 have axed it. What will I do with out Mark and Jez???? Okay I haven't just been on the bubbling all day due to our excellent abc audit...

Oooh - I was number 777; even cooler (and a promise I didn't wait patiently to get that slot...)

I've never even seen "Peep Show" but I signed the petition because apparently James' spooky dominance over foreigners extends to English people in foreign parts. Just off to Western Union to transfer that cash you wanted...D'oh! Stop that!

Peep show has Robert Webb! I''m glad I signed. Love Him

Signed, good sir. A similar thing happened with Spaced: they gave it a slot when the key demographic it was after were all out on the town boozing, and then wondered why it was only of limited success ratings wise. Dullards.

I've never understood that. And perhaps I never will.

Most impressed you've been to the Spaced House, by the way...

Well, thanks jk, I was going to be number 777 but when I pressed "sign" I had turned into number 778, which isnt cool at all.

I htink they tend to do that with a lot of these things - like Nathan Barley and now the It Crowd, both of which I think are absolutely excellent (probably owing to the genius of Chris Morris). Both these shows were on on friday nights which is not a time when I'm usually at home.
But then again, if they are aiming at students, that timing might be better than for any other demographic as students don't tend to care about weekends as they can go out any night of the week. Who knows. I still think Nathan Barley would have been HUGE if it had been on any other night of the week.

Oh, that makes sense, hadn't thought of that.

...It's all an evil plot.

At least, subjecting poor innocent (seriously!) Americans to ten million Footballer's Wives commercials every five seconds has to be.

the triple T said...

Whoops.

Footballers' Wives.

Or, rather, as it says on the website, just plain 'Footballers Wive$'

The Friday night project has viewers? That's news to me.

Apparently so..probably those who watch it with subtitles and don't hear the torturous tones of Alan Carr.
